" summary"
According to author Ken Wilber in his book “The marriage between sense and soul” (published in 1998, page 1), he stated the integration between science and religion and the relationship between them in the modern world and how is science discovering truth while religion is related to meaning and merge them together so they can be acceptable for each sides.
The author indicated that religion believes in spiritual side and the existence of big power that created the universe; In contrast science denies the importance of religion and its effect on human’s life cause science believes only in real facts. Ken Wilber (page2).
Religion as Wilber showed in “What do we mean by religion” (page5) that the word “religion” is hard to be explained because of the difference between all the religions in the whole world and their thoughts. But Wilder says that “if we cannot find a common core of the world’s great religions, then we will never find an integration of science and religion” (page5).The author quoted from Huston Smith from his book “Forgotten Truth” (page6) that there is universal religious belief in the Great Chain of being, “reaching from the matter to body to mind to soul to spirit” K. Wilber (page6), which is all series with in nets of being enclosed by God, but the collapse of the theory the nest of spirit was because it couldn’t stand up against the true facts of modern science which rely on evidence.
Wilber presented in “What is Modernity” (page 11) that science effects positively on the human beings life in all its medical, technical, industrial, and so many other fields. This differentiation of modernity helped in solving so many issues, the good results such as democracy, advanced medical science, no more slaves. But Wilder stated that the negative part of science was that the loss of meanings and the belief of the death of God, Wilber quoted from Marx Weber according to his summary phrase about the negative part of science “the disenchantment of the world” (page 11), the scientific “Materialism” emphasis only on the mater alone and refused the Greatness of matter, body, mind, soul, and spirit. K. Wilber (page 13).
The writer concluded that in order to integrate between science and religion, we have to “integrate the Great Chain with the difference notation of modernity” k. Wilber (page 18), and this integration could be done if the pre modern wisdom united the modern knowledge by understanding the modern mind.

hi~ Dina. I'm jeewon. your topic is very interesting for me, but I think when you do your research, you really be careful about finding not biased resources because the topic itself is very argumatative.
Hi Dina
I see that your summary very debatable. In my opinion, science and religion cannot be together. Science has completely different views on everything from religion. For instance, let's take my topic "Stem Cell Research" as an example, scientists may have benefits from researching stem cells, while geligion say that taking stem cells from fetus is not right.
By the way, I like your blog, it's very colorful =)
Merjaba dear Dina!!!!:P im alejandro. you have a fantastic blog!!!! its look like "pinata" :P
I believe that the idea of science and religion can be combine is a very good one. hoewver, i think it will be impossible to do so. most of all the scientific just believe in wheat threy can comfirm that exist or had existed, i mean that there would not be an easy task convincing a scientif to beliving in an ideology that for him has not any relevant proof or evidence of being right.the reason why many scientifics do not believe in rligions is beacuse there is insufficient evidence that any religious story actually happened
Dina, great: both your topic and blog are great! :)
I am not sure whether it is your actual research topic, but the proposed conjecture concerning science-religion relationships is interesting. Regardless of my skeptical opinion on the subject I look forward to reading the next chapter.
Kind Regards.
