Hii

Hi everybody..I just want to say that i'm glad to be part of this amazing group. I know my post is kind of "too late" but i didn't have something interesting to talk about..Today i went for a group led discussion and it was fun the topic was about "should casinos be responsible for gambling".Well casinos are private pro parties and they have been created for the benefit of their owners. One of the opinions that have been discussed was that the government should be responsible gambling and of the work of these casinos. Most of the students agreed that it's impossible for the government to do so, because it's not only they are private properties but also these gambling places helped in increasing the economy by increasing the number of tourists. So in my opinion if these places were used only for fun and not an easy way to get money there is no harm to Gamble once a while..
Thanks everybody "and spacial thanks for who gonna comment" LOL

Astrology for Begineers

The forth summary wow already.
William W Hewitt presented in his book “Astrology for Beginners” (published in 1991, USA, PAGE 23) “The Language of Astrology” to illustrate the connection of signs and their relationship and the affect of the planets of them (Hewitt, ND, PAGE 23).
Hewitt explained that each sign occupies 30 degrees of the horoscope wheel chart (Hewitt, ND, PAGE 24).Hewitt stated that Aries is the first sign of the wheel which presents Spring the natural start of the four seasons (Hewitt, ND, PAGE 24).
As Hewitt observed that the sun’s movement is at uniform speed but because the zodiac has only 360 degrees so there will be approximately three seconds less than one degree which is as Hewitt discussed is “57 minutes per day” in which it has the relation in determining the sun sign of the person birth date (Hewitt, ND, PAGE 27).
Moreover, Hewitt stated that there are ten planets including the Sun and the Moon which has a great effect on the natal chart and their influence on earth and it’s inhabits (Hewitt, ND, PAGE 28).Hewitt showed another important point that is the relationship between two planets expressed in degrees and minutes and their effect, as Hewitt discussed, at the birth moment which is important when explaining the meaning of natal chart (Hewitt, ND, PAGE 30). Later Hewitt presented another term used in Astrology language “Ephemeris” which is based on a table listing the position at regular intervals of one or more planets for each day of year (Hewitt, ND, PAGE31). Ephemeris as Hewitt showed is one of the most important items in natal chart without it we cannot do anything in practicing astrology (Hewitt, ND, PAGE31).
Hewitt noted another element of astrology which is the “Direct and Retrograde Motion”, Hewitt explained this term as the normal direction of planetary movement, then Hewitt continued explaining the importance of noting the time when a planet assumes this direction at the conclusion of its retrogression, the change is in direction is significant for predictive purpose. (Hewitt, ND, PAGE33)
Hewitt discussed one of power full points in natal chart which is “Ascendant” it’s as Hewitt presented the zodiac sign that was ascending in the eastern horizon at the specific place and time of person’s birth and it’s reflect to determine human activity (Hewitt, ND,PAGE33). Hewitt moved on to another important point of natal chart which is “Med heaven” is as Hewitt defined the highest visible point in the sky at the time of birth (Hewitt, ND, PAGE34).
“The North and South Nodes of the Moon” is another term of astrology language presented by the author, which is as Hewitt explained are two points where the orbit of the Moon intersect the path of the Sun, Their effect as Hewitt claimed is on people fate and answers the question “why we were born at this place” (Hewitt, ND, PAGE34). Furthermore Hewitt showed the four important elements in the horoscope chart which are Fire, Earth, Air and Water, plus their influence as Hewitt discussed on the life of the person (Hewitt, ND, PAGE35). “Triplicity” as Hewitt continued explaining is the three qualities in which can determine people abilities and the kind of job that can suit them. Those qualities as Hewitt noted are Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable. (Hewitt, ND, PAGE36)

Astrology for Biginners

“Summary2”

According to the author of the book “Astrology for beginners” published in (1991, United Sates of America) by William W. Hewitt. The author explained his point of view about the meaning of the sun sign and how is astrology and horoscopes are affective in people lives.
The most practiced astrology is NTALA “birth astrology” as the author indicated (ND, page7) which deals with birth patterning of individuals. The author presented Natal astrology in three points:
“1. A tool that provides greater understating of self”
“2. The oldest empirical science in the world”
“3. A patterning of a person’s innate birth potentials”
Hewitt (ND, Page16).Then the author described the relation between the Natal chart with the planetary system “heaven and earth”
In the chapter “The philosophy of astrology “(ND, Page16). The author explained that the events on earth reflected in heavens and it’s like having a mirror that reflects events happened on earth which mainly depends on mathematical calculations. These calculations rely on the position of the planet, the time, their relationship with other planets and earth.
Hewitt described that the primary purpose of Natal astrology is to construct a horoscope chart. He showed the relation between the stars and their positions and the effect of that movement on our date, time, and place of birth. The author also claimed that there is a huge effect of astrology on our successes in life, habits and problems. Hewitt (ND, Page17)
As the author goes along he observed the enhancement astrology on people and explained these enhancements through examples in life and how the author can mathematically through the horoscope chart showed the companionship between two people were about to get married but their horoscope readings showed that their relationship could not be right. Although they got married but the marriage didn’t last for long. Hewitt (ND, Page19)
The author noted in another part of horoscope chart and its effect on people career, Hewitt gave an example about a man who was not successful in his career, his horoscope chat showed that the career he was practicing was not right for him and how helpful was the chart in deciding in which career that would suit him and in which he can be creative. Hewitt (ND, Page 20)
The author stated that astrology is available science that can be value in our lives. The horoscope chart can show that person’s depth which will help him to know how to fulfill his time in productive way, hobby, seconded career, volunteer work or whatever. Hewitt (ND, Page21)
In conclusion the author revealed that astrology is a great tool which can determine and observe our directions in life. It could provide us with a complete map to choose the right decision. Hewitt (ND, Page21)

" summary"

According to author Ken Wilber in his book “The marriage between sense and soul” (published in 1998, page 1), he stated the integration between science and religion and the relationship between them in the modern world and how is science discovering truth while religion is related to meaning and merge them together so they can be acceptable for each sides.
The author indicated that religion believes in spiritual side and the existence of big power that created the universe; In contrast science denies the importance of religion and its effect on human’s life cause science believes only in real facts. Ken Wilber (page2).
Religion as Wilber showed in “What do we mean by religion” (page5) that the word “religion” is hard to be explained because of the difference between all the religions in the whole world and their thoughts. But Wilder says that “if we cannot find a common core of the world’s great religions, then we will never find an integration of science and religion” (page5).The author quoted from Huston Smith from his book “Forgotten Truth” (page6) that there is universal religious belief in the Great Chain of being, “reaching from the matter to body to mind to soul to spirit” K. Wilber (page6), which is all series with in nets of being enclosed by God, but the collapse of the theory the nest of spirit was because it couldn’t stand up against the true facts of modern science which rely on evidence.
Wilber presented in “What is Modernity” (page 11) that science effects positively on the human beings life in all its medical, technical, industrial, and so many other fields. This differentiation of modernity helped in solving so many issues, the good results such as democracy, advanced medical science, no more slaves. But Wilder stated that the negative part of science was that the loss of meanings and the belief of the death of God, Wilber quoted from Marx Weber according to his summary phrase about the negative part of science “the disenchantment of the world” (page 11), the scientific “Materialism” emphasis only on the mater alone and refused the Greatness of matter, body, mind, soul, and spirit. K. Wilber (page 13).
The writer concluded that in order to integrate between science and religion, we have to “integrate the Great Chain with the difference notation of modernity” k. Wilber (page 18), and this integration could be done if the pre modern wisdom united the modern knowledge by understanding the modern mind.
